If you listen to Sound Travels on the regular, you may have caught me playing Novalima already. They're an amazing, multi-national group that has been offering an uncompromisingly modern take on vintage Peruvian music. They're sound is built on Afro-Peruvian rhythms, but takes those sounds in fantastic and new directions. Their last album Karimba, was particularly spectacular and seemed to be in every ST Mixtape for like six months.
Don't know if you caught that, but if you did, you'll be pleased to hear that Karimba has been remixed (Karimba Diabolic Remixes) and is available now! Got your preview here and I played the Sergent Garcia remix of "Diablo" at noon...
