One of the reasons I love Halloween as a DJ, is that it gives me the opportunity to play some classic tunes that'd be out of place in any other part of the year. One such tune would be Michael Jackson's "Thriller"; a stone-cold classic that at this point in its history really only sounds right, rightaround Halloween. At the Start of our Wednesday Sound Travels I shared an awesome version of "Thriller" from a reggae artist Richie Phoe from a a single of the same name out now on Wah Wah 45's records. All I can think after hearing it, is that it's about time somebody did this, "Thriller" sounds like it was made to be dubbed out. It sounds spooky as hell with Richie Phoe on the controls, a bass-ed out banger. Dig it!
