Twenty-five years. As in that's how long the Gipsy Kings have ben kicking it, captivating audiences with their virtuosic gitano grooves. A band that's certified gold and platinum around the globe, introducing millions to a uniquely irresistible blend of traditional flamenco styles with Western pop and Pan-Latin rhythms. In the meantime, the band has toured virtually nonstop, to the farthest-flung corners of the planet, and sold almost twenty million albums, while improbably retaining the same line-up of musicians who may be tighter than family.

Twenty-five years later, Gipsy Kings return with Savor Flamenco, their ninth studio album and first new release in six years. The project marks the first time in their storied career that the Kings have produced themselves and written all of the material. It also starts a relationship between France's most successful musical group of all time and a new label, Knitting Factory Records. For fans of the band, the changes mean little as the sound is the same; mixing what works with minor tweaks that might be mistaken for a natural evolution. Good stuff.
