Four new Mexican artists who got the goods

On Thursday, Sound Travels was a vintage affair, focusing on some older Mexican artists; classics really, that I wanted to share in advance of Milwaukee's latest ethnic festival, Mexican Fiesta. Friday however, was all about some newer bands from Mexico who are on the rise and making waves with a far more modern sound. What did I play? check it...

At 10am...

And at 11am... The very talented Miss Natalia LaFourcade charms us with a emotive duet with Devendra Banhart, taken from a collaborative album commemorating Mexico's latter-day national composer Agustin Lara...

At Noon... I played a tune from Plastillina Mosh...google nalguita for a translation...sexy to say the least...

And at 1pm...prolly my favorite tune of the bunch, Hello Seahorse's "Bestia." Because it's a beast of tune of course...
