Green Bay Won And Now It Is Time To Collect From Pittsburgh's WYEP, And We Need Your Help!

Nothing can be sweeter than Green Bay Packers' victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl 45. Except, collecting on a bet with Pittsburgh radio station WYEP. Last week before the game, 88Nine RadioMilwaukee made a little wager with Pittsburgh radio station WYEP. If Green Bay wins, WYEP will have to put some Milwaukee music into rotation for a month. If Pittsburgh wins, 88Nine would have do the same with Pittsburgh music.
It seems now after the dust has settled from the Super Bowl, WYEP will have the pleasure of exposing their Pittsburgh audience to some great Milwaukee Music. However, we haven't decided what Milwaukee song to send WYEP. So we need your help. In the comment section below, enter your choice for Milwaukee song that should go into the rotation at WYEP in Pittsburgh.

personally i don't think we should send a joke song like "fly like a cheesehead". we should show pittsburg that milwaukee really has great musicians and we are not just some city that gets stopped over by bands going to/from the twin cities/chicago. i really like that song by testa rosa "black saltwater sea" or the ragador "bottom line babe". one last thought, maybe we should send then some harder stuff like some 20 reasons taken to show that were tough blue collar guys just like them... just don't send a joke song.
I have to agree to not sending "Feeling so fly like a cheesehead". That song is awful and is kind of a slap in the face to Pitt anyways. How about we show a little class in victory.
I liked the idea someone had about waiting a week and sending the song of the year from the MMA's. That would get my vote, even if it didn't get my vote.

Honestly, I don't know why we don't swap a few songs. It's not like it's gonna hurt us to listen to the best of local Pittsburgh music.
thats a great idea! maybe you guys can start a new show where you swap with different cities around the country. like "here is whats hot in local music in Portland, Nashville, Fargo... ect." and they get a song from us. that way when those local bands tour they have exposure here and our local bands have exposure there when they tour.
"Girl from the Midwest," and oldie but goodie off the album There and Back by Milwaukee-based Mike Mangione (now with his band The Union). "Midwest," "Great Lakes" all mentioned in there - remind them where the champs live!

i'm gonna have to agree with Prophetic & Pizzle - Green and Yellow. Not only is it the much superior version of green and yellow (that lil wayne track is a joke) but it would be nice to turn that right back in their faces.
