Did you know Milwaukee is the host to one of the largest varsity-level rowing races in the Midwest? Oh yeah....Team U.S.A. was also there. Pretty neat, huh?
Milwaukee hosted the 13th Annual Milwaukee River Challenge September 20th. Rowers raced along 3-mile route, starting at 25th and Canal Street. They rowed along the Menomonee River into the Milwaukee River and ended at Schlitz Park Downtown.
This year, Milwaukee played host to 140 boats and nearly 750 athletes from Colleges throughout Wisconsin and the midwest.
