Bay View's Little Artists Summer Art Program

One of the many family-oriented programs offered through the Bay View Community Center is the Little Artist Family Art Club. The program is offered for young kids, age 18 months to 6 years. It's 45 minutes long, which is perfect for young attention spans.

When the weather is co-operating, you can find families enjoying structured story-time followed by a craft project outdoors at South Shore Park in Bay View. "The biggest thing I've gotten feedback on," Jessica Bradway, art facilitator for Little Artist Family Art Club says, "parents are so happy about not cleaning up. I love advocating for messes so here, you're in the perfect place."

The Bay View Community Center serves 350 families each year with their programs. "That's a little over 1,000 parents and children coming through each year," says Kim Schubring, the Family and Children's Program Director. "We are all about getting families outside and enjoying their children with guided art projects."
