This past Saturday night was the 7th installment of MADE IN MILWAUKEE. An art, music and fashion event that has become a staple in the Milwaukee gallery night scene. This past week's event was not during gallery night, but you wouldn't have known that had you been there.
The night began with an incredible dub set from Chalice In The Palace DJs. They set the right mood for the incoming crowds to feel the vibe and check out all the kick ass art. From there Kings Go Forth hit the stage. If you weren't already dancing, by the end of their first song you were! Amazing funk and soul from my favorite Milwaukee band.
No Request Sound hit the decks after that for a kick ass 4 turntable extravaganza during the Milwaukee Botique fashion show. Amazing energy and awesome visuals during the fashion show, brought the event up another notch. The night had a bit of a reset at this point as the Hip Hop hit the stage.
One Self and Dj Swan started out the rap portion with a DJ heavy hip hop set. Swan ended the set with a wireless scratch solo down the catwalk!!! I would expect nothing less from him.... We ( The Rusty Ps ) Hit the stage after One Self....
I was SOOOOO sweaty by the time I left the stage, I was uncomfortable. I was jumping around, screaming and waving my hands like I a wild man. Our set was so much fun. The crowd was with us and the energy was flowing heavy!
We got the crowd plenty warmed up for BK One and BROTHER ALI. A true professional, Brother Ali's set was energetic, funky and fun. The people loved it!
The unsung heros of the show, were the Simplistiks Video Crew. They had AMAZING visuals through out the night on a massive pair of projection screens. I was awesome!!!
I was honored to be a part of such a fantastic event.
