The Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi project Rome featuring Jack White and Norah Jones will be released on Tuesday, May 17 on Capitol Records. This unique concept album is inspired by the classic Italian film scores made popular by Ennio Morricone.  For such a very interesting album, Danger Mouse wanted a unique video experience.  He partnered with Google and director Chris Milk, who created the interactive film "The Wilderness Downtown" for Arcade Fire.

They chose the song "Black" featuring Norah Jones for the interactive film, which will be using a new web standard called WebGL. WebGL is a context of the HTML5 canvas element that enables hardware-accelerated 3D graphics in the web browser without a plug-in. The interactive film is called "3 Dreams of Black".

As for the storyline, “3 Dreams of Black” (produced by @radicalmedia) is told from the point of view of a little girl who goes to sleep and has three dreams, each with its own interactive “rabbit hole,” explained director Chris Milk. (via Hypebot)

You can view this film only in the Google Chrome browser (it might work in the lastest version of Firefox). If you don't have the browser you can download it for free here. Watch the film here.

If you are like me, you want to know how they made the video. Google has release the code for the film, so you can play with and maybe create your own film.  You can find more about the technology behind the film here.
