When I started off the journey dressing myself in superwoman attire, minus the red cape, I knew it was going to be historical. The United Center seemed to have transformed into a spacecraft and the view from row three had me stargazing into a constellation that even Eugène Joseph Delporte couldn't determine.
On May 24, 2008, I experienced the show of a lifetime, comparable to the Northern Lights, an atmospheric phenomenon, the stage lit up in Chi City for "Glow in the Dark".
Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D., who made certain we all were Seeing Sounds and Rihanna got the platform warmed up and ready for take off for MTV's 2008 #1 pick for "Hottest MC In The Game", Kanye West.
I was reminiscing the Murakami exhibition I walked through in L.A. this January as I witnessed Kanye show and prove he is "the brightest star in the universe". Truly untouchable; "Touching the Sky" with Fiasco to conclude the journey for the evening.
I was left yearning for one phrase to come out of his mouth and thought to myself, "Please Mr. West, plug your book!", the curtain closed, "that was quite a show". Then Mr. West pulled the Thomas Crown of all, and his book was handed out at the exit. "Thank You and You're Welcome"!! A book comprised of real life experiences and creative motivation to get through the darkness and continue to polish your inner gem.
"My book is a guide to creating then celebrating your moment!" says Kanye.
I was pleased :)
