September 30 2011
Today is the first day of our 2011 Fall Fund Drive. 88Nine RadioMilwaukee will be five years old this coming February 2012, and the reason why we been on the air this long is because of you - the listener. 88Nine RadioMilwaukee is non-profit, public radio station. Without your continue support, we would be no longer on the air.
Only two times a year, we come to you to help support what we do by becoming a contributing member. Your contribution to 88Nine RadioMilwaukee is tax-deductible. This year we have a lot of ways to thank you. Today (9/30/11), if you donate $60 or more we have two gifts just for you. To get these gifts you must call 414-934-GIVE to make a donation.
The first gift is a 4 pack of tickets to see the Harlem Ambassadors on Saturday, October 1 at 5pm at the Al McGuire Center courtesy of Hoops4Kids. The Harlem Ambassadors offer a unique brand of Harlem style basketball, featuring high-flying slam-dunks, dazzling ball-handling tricks, and hilarious comedy routines. The Ambassadors feature non-stop laughs and deliver a positive message for kids wherever the Ambassadors play.
The Ambassadors have worked extensively with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Boys & Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters and American Red Cross as well as Rotary, Lions and Kiwanis Clubs in communities throughout the U.S. and perform more than 200 shows a year. Click here for more details.
The second gift is a $10 gift card from good folks a Trocadero. Trocadero Gastropub is an amazing restaurant located on the east side (1758 N Water Street). Trocadero was voted best place to get brunch in 2010, and one of the best places to get a bloody mary. The menu is as diverse as its beer menu with dishes like Filet Medallions and Sautéed Lobster, Crispy Portobello Mushroom “Frites”, and the Lobster Truffle Burger.
Remember to call 414-934-GIVE to make your donation of $60 or more to receive these thank-you gifts. Don't forget if you donate $100, not only you get these gifts, but you get our first ever live compilation, "Studio:Milwaukee."
