On Saturday September 17, six musicians from different bands and affiliations will re-interpret J Dilla's work.  The sextet will consist of Alida LaCosse and Allen Russell on violin, Peter Thomas (I'm Not A Pilot, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra) on cello, Barry Clark (Adoptahighway, 1/2 of Omega Clash) on double bass, Dave Olson (Plight of A Parasite, Figureheads) on MPC/sampler and Old Man Malcolm (Citizen King, Codebreaker) on turntables. There will also be a special guest spoken word artist, Nigel Wade. The performance will have a classical, electronic, and hip hop twist on J Dilla's productions.

Doors for the event are at 10pm this Saturday, and cover is $8. Fresh donuts will be provided (while supplies last). Stonefly Brewery is located at 735 E Center Street, Riverwest.
