Word is, I am a big fan of bass culture: dub, dancehall, dubstep, grime and all that are my bread and butter. Well, for a fan of the music I regularly check out a number of web sites and blogs, and one of the best in my opinion has been the one hosted by two of my favorite producers, Matt Shadetek and DJ/Rupture(whose blog MuddUp is excellent as well) and their posse of collaborators that includes the up-and-coming Taliesin as well as Lumin(who I am unfamiliar with) . These cats are not only on point with what they make, but are extremely knowledgeable about the genres they represent. Details, details, details is what I love, and they often go to great length to put the music into a larger context or perspective. Really good stuff.
The point here is as much to pay tribute to their efforts and encourage people to check out their bogspot at www.duttyartz.com, as to tune you to a nice mix that Taliesin sent my way the other day as a comment in my "Don't Sleep on Matty G" post.
