No this not a reference to Conan O'Brien and the late night show drama, but a relative new band out of England fronted by Coco Sumner(Eliot Pauline Styler-Sumner). The name might not sound familiar but her father you might know. Her father fronted a little known band called The Police. Yes, she is the daughter of Sting(Gordon Matthew Sumner) and Trudie Styler. At first, when I saw this and heard the song "Caesar", I wasn't sold. Then I heard Miike Snow's and Diplo's remixes and now I'm hooked. I even enjoy the original version. She even kind of reminds me of her father in a weird way (if you know what I mean).
I Blame Coco recently scored a six-record deal with Island records. Will she live up to her father's legacy? No, but I think she is very capable of making a name for herself with some good music. Only time will tell, but if Caesar and these remixes are any indication, chances are better than average. (shouts to Sheena Beaston)
