Yesterday, I flew into lovely Nashville, Tennessee to go to my first ever Bonnaroo. I had no idea on what to expect when I got to festival grounds. My journey was almost trouble-free except for my little detour on some back roads in the middle of Tennessee. I finally arrived on the festival grounds in the media compound a little after 6:30pm. I am very fortunate to be staying in the radio tour bus, which was air conditioned and stock full of some 'tasty beverages (if you know what I mean). Then there were the showers. That is all I can say.
Report From Bonnaroo #1

That evening, I went to check out Band of Skulls, and The Walkmen. Both shows were amazing. Then I wanted to check out the Sleigh Bells. Unfortunately, there was a sea of people so far back from the stage, that I couldn't even hear them perform. Lucky for me, I got a chance to meet the singer for the Sleigh Bells. All I can say is, that I have a new musical crush.
Today, I'm going to get my bearings straight and go see some music including Matt & Kim, Atmosphere, Givers, Big Boi, and Ratatat, who are performing at 2:30am. I hope I';; have enough energy for that. However, I did meet Tiffany from the amazing band Givers out of Louisiana. If you like Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, you will dig Givers. Check out my story on them I wrote a few months back.
