There is nothing like good curry. When I used to visit London as a design manger for Northwest Airlines, the first stop would be to get curry. To be honest, I haven't had curry in a long time, and I have been craving it for a while. Next Sunday, February 21st at Burnhearts, the craving will be satisfied. Burnhearts will be holding the first ever annual Bollywood Curry Cook-Off. It is a benefit for Hunger Task-Force. Here are the details from the Facebook event page:
Curry cooks - $15 entry (all $ goes to Hunger Task Force) - We will be accepting 20 contestants. Must supply your own crock-pot to keep the curry warm throughout judging. Sign-up begins February 1st @ Burnhearts (entry fee must be paid at the time of sign-up). Thanks and may the best curry cook win!
Curry eaters - Raffle prizes sponsored by Rishi Tea, The Spice House, Honey Pie, Pabst & Burnheart.
$1 cans of Pabst - proceeds go to Hunger Task Force!
We will also be showing Bollywood films and listening to Bollywood hits on hi-fi system. You will get "curried away"!
The event will be from 5pm-10pm, Sunday, February 21st.
