Trinidad music all week on Sound Travels. Perhaps no better choice for a week headlined by Mardi Gras and celebrated more broadly as Carnival. Trinidad particularly enjoys her Carnival and on Wednesday I played a variety of styles popular on this Caribbean island. From the Indian influences of Mungal to the Trini-reggae of Brother Resistance or vintage calypso from Roaring Lion or even the soca-pop sound of Sugar Daddy's big tune "Sweet Soca Music," Trinidad has many styles perfect for Carnival. Here's what I played...
Mungal "Fallin' 4 Another"

Brother Resistance "Tonite Is The Night"

Roaring Lion "Carnival Long Ago"

Sugar Daddy "Sweet Soca Music"
