A Fistful Of Soundtracks, Sound Travels Italian Cinema

Sound Travels the world; and this week we're all about Italia as Festa Italiana gets going this weekend amid the hotness that has become Milwaukee's weather.  So tady I had a batch of Italian composers whose work I will not ignore...or at least didn't. From Ennio Morricone, of spaghetti western fame, having scored what seems to be a majority of them; to the godfather of not only Italodisco, but perhaps also electronic music, Giorgio Moroder. Also some throw-ins from Piero Umiliani and Nino Rota just for a fuller set. If you missed it, here's what I had today...

Ennio Morricone "The Man With The Harmonica" Once Upon A Time In The West

[audio=1]

Nino Rota "The Godfather (Love Theme)" The Godfather OST

[audio=2]

Piero Umiliani "Gangster's Song" La Legge Dei Gangsters

[audio=3]

Giorgio Moroder "The Chase (Midnight Run)" Midnight Run OST

[audio=4]

Piero Umiliani "Mah Na Mah Na"

[audio=5]
