Lots of songs never make it to the radio that are getting lots of attention online. Live tracks, sanctioned and unsanctioned remixes, mash-ups, overlooked gems by unsigned artists. Every week on "Are You Feeling This," we invite you to hear what the buzz is all about. You tell us what you think. Vote in the Are You Feeling This poll, leave a comment, send us an e-mail.
This week on ”Are You Feeling This”: All the tunes are from bands from London. We have two new tunes and one overlooked gem that was released about a year ago. The overlooked gem comes from a band called One Eskimo. One Eskimo is a very visual project where each song's video follow the adventures of the band's characters which are a cartoon giraffe, penguin and monkey (think The Gorillaz gone folk). If you like Badly Drawn Boy, Jose Gonzalez and Nick Drake, you will like One Eskimo.
The next tune comes from the London band The Invisible. I'm a big fan of the this band which album is produced by Matthew Herbert. They just dropped their single "London Girl" (I blogged about it on Needledrop a few weeks back). This is a band to watch in 2009. Finally is another band out of London by the name of The Rumble Strips. They just dropped their single "London for a free download on their site. The track is produced by Grammy winner producer Mark Ronson who also produced Amy Winehouse's album Back to Black. Let me know which song you are feeling the most and vote for it in the poll below.
