Kohls and Northwestern Mutual announced their plans to help the American Red Cross with their Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Kohl's is donating $1 million in cash and Northwestern Mutual said it's will increase it's giving to the Red Cross by an additional $100,000 dollars. Both companies are encouraging their employees to match donations and volunteer hours.

As reported by the WUWM news, election officials urge residents to check polling place locations and registration status. The Government Accountability Board says many polling locations have changed since the 2008 presidential election. Information can be found on our Facebook page.

Four days after Hurricane Sandy, the effort to secure enough gas for the East Coast has moved to the forefront of recovery work. From drivers waiting in lines that run hundreds deep to taxi companies that had to reduce their fleets, everyone has been affected.

ArtWorks for Milwaukee's 4th annual "Night by the River" benefit takes place tonight at the Milwaukee County Historical Society on Old World Third Street. The funds raised from this event will benefit ArtWorks, which gives paid internships to teens to help create community art projects.
