1700 flights were canceled yesterday as many holiday travelers looked to return home while a powerful series of storms advanced on the Northeast. Heavy snow, winds and tornadoes hit the Midwest and as the storm continues east today, thousands of passengers are expected to have flight cancellations.

The first episode of "United States of Bacon" will debut this Sunday on the Discovery network's "Destination America". The first of the 12-part season will focus on Milwaukee, with stops at Comet Cafe and AJ Bombers in Milwaukee, Saloon on Calhoun with Bacon in Brookfield and Franks Diner in Kenosha. The show airs at 9pm.

Wisconsin's whooping cough rate was the worst in the nation this year. Nearly 5,700 confirmed and probable cases have been reported as of December 14th, more than 8 times the national average.

The Tony Hawk Foundation raised $126,000 through the sale of old decks used by skateboard legends and signed by famous musicians, with all proceeds going to fund skateparks in low-income areas in the United States. A record $38,425 was made off of a single deck skated by Jamie Thomas and signed by Bob Marley.
