The WI Supreme Court unanimously agreed to disbar Joseph W. Weigel, president of Milwaukee's better know law firms, for misusing client funds by using the money to pay vendors or other clients. Weigel had been practicing law for more than 50 years and will not be able to receive any profits generated by his firm, Weigel, Carlson, Blau & Clemens.
The federal government is awarding the State of Wisconsin $32 million for improving children's access to health care through BadgerCare. WI is one of 23 states getting this performance bonus due in part to improvements made in 2010 to the BadgerCare Plus program.
The Hampton Inn and Suites in Downtown Milwaukee is creating a community art project. Starting on Friday, they will give out mini-canvases and art materials to guests, asking them to depict what inspires them about Milwaukee. Once completed, the canvases will be put together as a giant mural inside the hotel called the "Inspiration Project".
The Agape Community Center released their 6th Annual Christmas CD "Sing For Your Supper" featuring 18 classic Christmas carols . The CD features the vocal talents of area middle and high school choirs and local radio personalities as well as high school string orchestras a Baptist choir.
