The Center for Deaf-Blind persons is holding a Meet the Author event for Ms. Ruth Silver on October 10th. Ms. Silver is the founder of the organization and will be reading from "Invisible", a book about her personal journey of loosing both her vision and hearing.
The City of Waukesha will buy Lake Michigan Water from Oak Creek under a new deal approved yesterday by each city's common council, upon approval of the eight Great Lakes states. The $183 million, 40 year deal would allow Waukesha to build pipelines and pumping stations to bring water inland and return treated wasterwater to the lake.
