A new 24 acre park will soon be the focal point in the ongoing Menomonee Valley development project. Stretching 10 blocks from Mitchell Park on the east and running along the Menomonee River to 37th street, the currently un-named park will be maintained by the DNR in conjunction with the new Urban Ecology Center opening in the valley next week. Wisconsin consumers could take home more than $1 million from a price-fixing settlement with e-book publishers Hachette Book Group, HarperCollins and Simon & Schuster. The settlement applies to people who bought e-books between April 1, 2012 and May 21, 2012 and will be automatically credited to their e-book accounts.
