County Officials are trying to recover revenue for the O’Donnell parking garage that sits across from the art museum. Revenue has gone down ever since its July reopening in the aftermath of a fatal accident and multi-million dollar repair job. But the goal is to restore the public’s confidence in the garage’s safety and longevity, while also pushing for more monthly parkers, which will help improve the financial picture.

Wisconsin’s milk output has gone up two percent over the last year, making it the second straight month in increases. So for numbers, Wisconsin dairy farmers harvested roughly 2.1 billion pounds of milk and Minnesota even produced over 7 million pounds. California is still the national leader but Wisconsin is set in second place.

With Christmas over, it’s now time for some to rush to the mall, either to return a gift or use their gift cards...or so we think. With 2012 just around the corner, Miller Lite is teaming up with the Milwaukee County Transit System and Waukesha Metro Transit to give free bus service as a safe transportation alternative for those celebrating the New Year.  ‘Miller Lite Free Rides’ will be offered on most bus routes starting at 7. All of this is a reminder for Milwaukee-area residents to ring in the new year safely and not drink and drive.

Washington Park Partners is focusing on a new plan for the New Year, along with LISC…which stands for local initiatives support corporation. The goal is to implement a five-year sustainable community plan, through housing, arts and culture, jobs and business, education, the park, health and wellness, and safety. Local business owners and residents hope to help the community out and make a difference in Milwaukee.
