A hurricane warning has been issued for the northern coast of the Gulf of Mexico as thousands in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama are being told to leave their homes today in preparation for the arrival of Tropical Storm Issac. The storm is expected to make landfall late Tuesday/early Wednesday as a Category One hurricane.

Hundreds of children, teens and their parents worked with Milwaukee Public Theater artists to create the giant puppets and floats featured in downtown's All-City People's Parade this Labor Day. "Musicians-from-the-Decades" puppets include a 50's jazz sax player, 60's rock diva, 70's cult band leader, 80's disco diva, 90's punk rocker and a pop icon from the first decade of the 21st century.
