The Department of Natural Resources developed a new app designed to help hunters. The "Sunrise-Sunset" app uses GPS to determine where the user is and what the opening and closing times for hunting seasons in that location.

As reported in JS Online, The Brookfield Farmers Market will accept Wisconsin FoodShare as a method of payment next season. FoodShare benefits allow low-income families to buy groceries.

A Campaign appearance by President Barack Obama in Milwaukee on Saturday will include a performance by pop singer Katy Perry at the Delta Center.

A 65,000 square foot building at S. 3rd and W Pierce streets, formerly the JH Collectibles clothing factory and warehouse, is being converted into rent controlled apartments. The three story building will be turned into 50 one and two-bedroom units.
