Wisconsin residents have until the end of August to sign up for the state's "do-not-call" list. The free, no-call service is managed by the WI Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. It covers residential land lines, cell phone numbers and protects against unwanted texts.
Harley-Davidson unveiled it's 110th Anniversary motorcycles Monday. 4500 dealers and staff from 60 countries are in Milwaukee this week helping spark interest in the company's anniversary celebrations in Brew CIty over Labor Day weekend, 2013.
The Milwaukee Masterpiece car show returns to Veterans Park this weekend, featuring hundreds of rare and classic vehicles. The show will also commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the Vanderbilt Cup and the American Grand Prize Race, historic competitions which took place in Milwaukee. All proceeds will benefit Jewish Family Services.
The Department of Public Instruction announced aspiring public-school teachers who have a college degree and some nontraditional K-12 teaching experience may persue a new track to become a licensed educator in Wisconsin. Candidates with three years of teaching experience in a private school, workplace training center, child care center or a secondary institution may submit a portfolio of work for the DPI for review.
