The United Way of Greater Milwaukee will reveal it's 2012 Community Campaign goal during a kick-off celebration and block party tonight at the Pfister Hotel from 5 to 7:30pm. The United Way supports over 160 health and human service programs, including Teen Pregnancy and Infant Mortality Prevention Initiatives.

Starbucks branches in Hong Kong have teamed up with researchers using chemistry to recycle old bakery products. They boil old baked goods down to their core chemical components (sugar) in order to extract recycled ingredients used in plastics, laundry detergents and other commonly used products. Former Green Bay Packer, Willie Henderson, has opened a new frozen yogurt store in Whitefish Bay. "Sweet Frog", near Santa Monica Boulevard and Silver Spring Drive, is Henderson's second store opened in a month and plans to open a third in Brookfield in October. Willie is looking forward to this chance to give back and do charitable work in these communities.

This weekend, the Milwaukee area celebrates the second Highland Games of the season at the Waukesha Expo Center. This festival features Professional Heavy Athletes for hammer throw, stone put, sheaf toss and the traditional caber toss...along with the music, food and culture of Scotland.
