Meals were served to 7,000 people yesterday at the 23rd annual 1290 WMCS Salvation Army Christmas Family Feast at the Delta Center in downtown Milwaukee. There were a steady stream of carolers and an appearance by Santa. Books and toys were also given out to diners as they left.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Sue Black is one of two candidates vying to become the new parks director for the city of Dallas. Black is running against the current assistant director of the Dallas Park and Recreation Department, and was chosen out of 114 applicants.
American Euros, best known for their food carts serving downtown Milwaukee since July 2009, have opened a restaurant on the 3100 block of N. Oakland Avenue. American Euros was one of the first food carts to serve up late-night snacks in Milwaukee.
MillerCoors has extended it's Hoiday Lites show in the Miller Valley for an additional eight nights, running through January 1st. More than 300,000 LED lights are choreographed with a mix of traditional and modern holiday music daily from 5 to 10pm on State Street between 38th and 41st street.
