In election news, President Barak Obama has been elected to a second-term and Tammy Baldwin defeated Tommy Thompson to win a U.S. Senate Seat for Wisconsin, making her the first woman from Wisconsin to be elected to the Senate.
The 8th Annual Kneel to Neil fundraiser for The Bridge School and WMSE is being held this Friday, November 9th at Linneman's in Riverwest. In response to severe traffic jams near the Marquette Interchange, The Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced this week that it plans to re-establish a second lane of traffic from westbound I-794 to I-94 near 11th St and add another lane on I-94 from 25th the 35th St. The project will begin in the spring and take two to three months.
Agricultural news: In Georgia, where nearly half of the nation's peanuts are grown, the annual fall harvest has yielded a record amount of big, shell-filling kernels that farmers say taste better than average. Good news for peanut butter eaters, the cost should start falling as the year ends.
