A shoeshine man has given a Pittsburgh children's hospital more than $200,000 in tips he's collected over the last 30 years. Albert Lexie say's he's been shining shoes for $5 at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh since the early 1980's. Most customers tipped him $1 dollar and he wanted to give all that money to the hospital's sick children.
Milwaukee County Treasurer Dan Diliberti says he has $2 million in unclaimed funds that belong to Milwaukee County residents. The funds come from a variety of places including jury duty checks, bail money and over payment refunds that weren't able to make it back to their rightful owners. A winter storm hit the midwest today, with the worst of it in the central midwest. There's a winter weather advisory today until 6pm for all of southeastern Wisconsin. Heavy snow fell after midnight, accumulating 2-3 inches. Show showers will return off and on through the late morning to early evening, with an additional 1-2 inches this afternoon.
Two veterans of the Milwaukee media market have launched a new website focusing on health and wellness for African American men. African-American men have higher rates of heart disease, diabetes and other chronic diseases than white ment and are at a much higher risk of prostrate cancer, stroke and other conditions. Wheaton Franciscan and the Milwaukee Health Department will provide content for the new website named "Brain Brawn & Body".
