The JS reports, State officials are pushing the Wisconsin Department of National Resources to improve public assess to more than a million acres of private forest land that is supposed to be open to the public for hunting, hiking, fishing, cross-country skiing and sightseeing. The landowners have gotten huge tax breaks when they agreed to open their land to public recreation. The DNR will consider creating electronic maps allowing people easier access to the land.
Streets from Miller Park to the Harley Davidson Museum will close briefly tomorrow starting at 6:30am for the Milwaukee Brewers 13.1 mile mini-marathon. Affected streets will be closed in short 15 minute intervals as runners pass through the area. For a complete route, head on over to our Facebook page.
Apple stores around the world are opening to huge lines this morning for the iPhone 5. Apple estimates nearly 10 million phones will be sold by Monday morning.
The national online Magazine geared towards Vegans, "VegNews", nominated not one but two Milwaukee burgers in their "11 Best Veggie Burgers in The US" article. Comet Cafe's Big Luck Burger and The Eatery on Farwell's Ratatouille Burger both made the list.
