The Wauwatosa common council will now allow residents to keep chickens in their yards, with a few regulations. You can have no more than 4 chickens, fenced in with at least 16 square feet of space per bird. They need to be licensed and roosters are not allowed. You also have to get written permission from any neighbor whose land touches yours. This new ordinance will expire in a year, so if people don't like it, they can get rid of it.

The U.S. Postal service announced plans to cut back to a five-day-week delivery service for everything except packages. Under the new plan, mail would be delivered to homes and businesses Monday through Friday but would still be delivered to post office boxes on Saturdays. And post offices that are open on Saturdays would remain open on Saturdays. Fun fact: Benjamin Franklin was named the first postmaster general by the Continental Congress in 1775. And in 1950, twice a day delivery was cut to once a day.
