This morning on the Seven O Clock Sample, I continue to celebrate the music of the late-great KING OF POP, Michael Jackson.

In the winter of 1981, Michael headed to the UK to record some music with the legendary Paul McCartney. While working at Abbey Road studios together, they recorded "The Girl Is Mine" which appeared on Jackson's 1982 album THRILLER. They also recorded a track which would later be released on McCartney's solo album PIPES OF PEACE, entitled "Say Say Say"

"Say Say Say" was a number one hit in the US and peaked at number two in the UK. Number one in Canada, Finland, Italy, Norway and Sweden, the single peaked within the top ten of Austria and New Zealand.

Years later, "Say Say Say" was sampled by the Dutch music group Hi-Tack. They took the song to number four on the UK singles chart, with their hit "Say Say Say ( Waiting for You )
