I've often thought dance "remixes" or covers of popular rock songs have a hard time distinguishing themselves as anything other than a hachet job. Most of these songs lack any finess. They're really an exercise in placing a vocal track and maybe a guitar or two over a hard charging beat.
That's why when I read, electro Mumford and Sons cover, I cringed. Oh, how I was wrong. This is gorgeous. Victorian collective And the Raven really took a chance with this. It never gets too big or clubby. Just the right amount of spark.
