After an ispiring coversation with AMKE host Kallao, I've decided to dedicate this week's 2 o'clock breaks to Beck.

Beck has been making big waves since 1994's Mellow Gold.  While that was not Beck's first album, it brought his sound to the masses. A sound rich in folk, blues, rock, Hip Hop and SAMPLES!

He's used many classic samples thorughout his years, and once of my personal favorites, was found on his 10th studio album Gureo.

I always wondered what that beep noise was.  So I looked it up!  Turns out to be a keyboard stab from an Ohio Players song.

From the 1976 album Contradiction... here is" Far East Mississippi".
