The Wisconsin Pink Shawl Initiative was set in place to help raise breast cancer awareness and educate the American Indian community about the disease that affects millions, breast cancer. The organization serves as a resource for people looking for advice, education and direction when it comes to breast care health.

I sat down with Carol Cameron and Debbie Ushakow from the Pink Shawl Initiative, and they explained to me how providing breast cancer awareness and education is meeting the needs of the American Indian community.
