Listen: On Day 33 of 50 in Meet The Need, we hear from the Healing Center, an organization that offers sexual abuse survivors and their loved ones opportunities for free and holistic healing through support, advocacy, and community education. Mary Anne Clesceri, Executive Director of the Healing Center, and Stephanie Shabangu take us inside their work:

-Maryann gives us an overview of their work at the Healing Center, how they provide a space and help their clients figure out what they need:

-The demanding work they do with sexual assault comes with both great challenges and rewards:

-Occasionally, just hearing the term "sexual assault" can make us want to shut down and stop listening -- it is a topic that's difficult to discuss but it will not disappear if we refuse to recognize it:

-Finally, Stephanie let's us know how you can get involved:

This year, we ask you to adopt one or two organizations that connect with you. Want to get involved with the Healing Center? Donate, volunteer, or check out their work yourself. And you can start with their website.
