If you’ve been following Meet the Need, then you already heard about Penfield Children’s Center and its great work assisting the youth and their families.
I spoke with Britny Helmrich, a 10-year-old that attends Jefferson Elementary. Not only does Britny volunteer at Penfield, but she’s full of life and truly believes in helping others.

Britny has volunteered several time in the purple room where i teach.
She has a natural talent with children. The kids loved here. We even had a boy cry when she had to leave. Her smile and warm spirit brought joy to our children and the classroom. She is welcome back anytime and it was an honor working along side her. :)
I was honored when Britny decided to join my room at PCC. She is an amazingly helpful person.
Britny is an inspiration to me and makes me that much more motivated to pass on her caring spirit to my own child.
Britny is a wonderful girl, wise and giving beyond her years. What a great story!
