Listen: It's already been a month since I had Paul Finger in the studios to masterfully tell the unlikely story of how he went to jail. I can't tell if time's been sprinting or crawling. In any case, with the next Ex Fabula coming up this evening at the Bay View Brew House, I asked Ex Fabula to hand-pick a participant from their last event to give us a preview and wet our storytelling whistles. They did not disappoint. Emmett Gross, one of my personal favorites from the last Ex Fabula night, graciously told me not just one, but two great stories. First, he told me his story from January's Ex Fabula, a morality tale about hustling. Then he premiered a story about the time a road trip brought him to Ronald Reagan's boyhood backyard. Check out produced excerpts and the complete unedited stories below.
-With a brand new car, on a road trip to California, Emmett and his brother could not pass up the chance to settle their vendetta against Ronald Reagan when they stumbled across his boyhood home. Here's a glimpse: [audio=1] -The uncut, unedited version of Emmett's time in the conservative lion's den. [audio=2]
To learn more about Ex Fabula, visit their website. And they have an event TONIGHT (Tuesday, February 16th), 8PM at the Bay View Brew House. Don't miss it -- the last one was certainly a highlight of my winter!
