Jim Higgins, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s arts and books editor, will host a discussion of culture and the arts and the state of today’s media on Tues., Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at Mount Mary College, Stiemke Hall, 2900 N. Menomonee River Parkway. The event is sponsored by the college’s Master of Arts in English Program and is part of its “Writers on Writing” series.
While the event is free and open to the public, space is limited so attendees should RSVP to murrayk@mtmary.edu or 414-258-4810 ext 395.
Higgins, who is a graduate of Marquette University, has been part of Milwaukee’s newspaper industry for 29 years. He joined the Milwaukee Sentinel in 1983 and continued in writing and editing positions as the paper merged into the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. As part of the evening, Higgins will also address issues of interest to students and professionals in the advertising, communications and public relations industries.
