The Women’s Center’s Anniversary Luncheon will feature presentations from local and national experts on human trafficking and on empowering survivors to rebuild their lives. Keynote Speaker Lisa T.D. Nguyen, founder and executive director of Senhoa Foundation, will discuss how Senhoa addresses modern slavery by working with women and children in South East Asia. Additionally, James L. Santelle, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, will speak to the prevalence of trafficking in the Greater Milwaukee region.
Senhoa Foundation supports vulnerable persons and survivors of human trafficking by providing income-generating opportunities, social reintegration and programs for self-empowerment. For her community service work, Lisa was awarded the Order of Australia Association Medal for Community Services and Young Australian-Vietnamese of the Year. Outside of her work with Senhoa, Lisa is also the emcee for Asia Entertainment, Inc., a variety musical production company with over 4 million viewers worldwide.
The event will feature a large silent auction and a raffle. Tickets are $60/person or $600 for a table of 10. For more information or to register, visit: http://twcwaukesha.org/event/anniversary-luncheon/
