Celebrate UW-Milwaukee’s Bike to Work Week: May 14th-18th

Ride with the Chancellor, May 17th, 7:45am

From the North-
Gather at the corner of Hampton and Santa Monica (at the Martinizing parking lot)
From the South-
Gather at Kenilworth, within the alley way “Green Street”
Join the Chancellor, Michael Lovell and Provost, Johannes Britz at the Santa Monica location, and Auxiliary’s Executive Director Scott Peak and the UWM Bicycle Officers at Kenilworth.
Riders will take the Oak Leaf Trail from both locations and end on campus at Spaights Plaza where there will be free bike tune-ups courtesy of UBike, free Grind coffee, and educational materials from the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin. Also, all riders will receive a free UW-Milwaukee leg band reflector. Event is rain or shine.
Bike to Work Week is also part of the 2012 Wisconsin Bike Challenge, a free statewide competition to promote biking within the workplace. Sign up either as an individual or department, and be part of UWM’s overall team! www.nationalbikechallenge.org
By participating in the Wisconsin Bike Challenge, you and your colleagues will easily and conveniently track your bicycle miles and trips for both transportation and recreation. The 2012 Wisconsin Bike Challenge runs from May 1st through August 31st.
This provides a fun opportunity to promote wellness, team-building, and bicycling at UWM.
