‘Making A Scene – A Celebration of the Senses’

On October 23, 2013 Renaissance Theaterworks, in collaboration with Milwaukee Public Theatre, will honor Disability Awareness month with an event that promises to be a new avenue for disability awareness.  Making A Scene - A Celebration of the Senses features excerpts from Barbara Leigh’s Survival Revival Revue; several monologues by Chastity Washington, stand-up comedienne from NAMI; stories by Ruth Silver from her book Invisible: My Journey Through Vision and Hearing Loss; and a surprise performance by girls and women from Vision Forward.

7-9 pm on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, in the Skylight Bar and Bistro at the Broadway Theatre Center.  Second floor, 158 N. Broadway.  Pay-What-You-Can with a suggested donation of $10.  No phone-in orders or advanced sales will be accepted.  Limited seating.  Doors open at 6pm.  Handicap accessible.  Signing Interpreter will be present at the event.
