10:00pm The Last Rhino:

The Last Rhino is an Indie/Alternative rock band based out of Milwaukee, WI, consisting of four members: William R. Gardiner, John Keller, Chris Schwab, and Travis Thorp. Influenced by Radiohead, Incubus, Death Cab for Cutie, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, TV on the Radio, and others, it is their goal to write diverse music to appeal to the broad range of musical tastes that most people, including themselves, describe having. They independently released their first demo EP, "Good at Goodbyes", in 2008, followed by a more substantial EP, "Get Over It!", in January of 2009. On March 19th, 2011, The Last Rhino teamed up with J. Chirstopher Hughes to release their first full-length album entitled "Surrounded by Fog". The Last Rhino is a band that thrives off of the energy they bring to their live shows and loves to be surrounded by the myriad of instruments they require to fill out their rich and nuanced soundscape. They are currently playing and booking shows in Riverwest, Milwaukee's East Side, and Bayview to promote and support their studio efforts.

11:15pm Milano:

Milano's sound is both mature and distinct. Blending piano, violin, accordion, and four vocalists into the quintissential rock band recipe, the Chicago band toes the line between calculated drama and happenstance festival. Milano's "gypsy rock" sound interweaves instrumental arrangements, call-and-response harmonies, soaring lead vocals and a heavy rhythm section that goes beyond the typical 4/4, 3/4 rock formula, yet a prominent unifier pierces through the avant garde elements - Guerra's voice. His vibrato, range, and tone gives Milano its haunting sound.

Milano released their debut three-song demo, "Zombie World," in 2009. Their five-song "Gloria" EP was released October 30, 2010, and the band is currently preparing for a summer 2011 tour.

12:15 Ikarus Down:

Formed in 2009, this Milwaukee based "dramatic second-wave" alternative rock band performs a mix of high octane guitar driven grooves with sweet and yet melancholy ballads soaked in a dark electronic haze. The band consists of members Jonathan Ferrer (vocals and guitar), William R. Gardiner (Lead Guitar), Daniel Langkammer (Drums), Patrick Massimore (bass) and Pianotalk (piano). The band has been playing relentless shows since Dec. 2009 in the Milwaukee area at bars/clubs such as The Whiskey Bar, Cactus Club, Club Garabaldi, G Daddy's BBC and Ynot-3. They played Summerfest for the first time last year on the Cascio Stage.

"Milwaukee band Ikarus Down plays straightforward, nice-guy pop-rock that always goes down smooth and tuneful, even when the guitars get cranked. The group cites indie-rock mainstays like Death Cab For Cutie and Phoenix as influences, but its unabashed radio-ready slickness is more in line with Coldplay or even with a spacier Matchbox Twenty. Ikarus Down is currently at work on a full-length that it promises will "match the momentum of the band's unflinching live sets." In the meantime, feel free to enjoy unflinching live sets."
