PUBLIC EVENT, all welcome!
An exciting event is happening Tuesday, April 24th from 2-4 pm in the UWM Union room 191 -- WISPIRG's Energy Service Corps at UWM along with UWM's Office of Sustainability, are hosting an Energy Efficiency at Home Workshop! There will be representatives from Wisconsin's Focus on Energy program as well as Milwaukee's own ME2 (Milwaukee Energy Efficiency) program to talk to homeowners, renters and students alike about ways that they can save energy (and money!) in their homes. With the combination of these three groups, there will be information for every level, ranging from simple things like changing your lightbulbs to CFLs (compact fluorescent lightbulbs) to connecting homeowners with energy home improvement projects such as insulation work. There will be a chance for people to bring in their old incandescent lightbulbs and swap them for a free CFL!
