Perennial Milwaukee surf-rockers The Exotics don’t stray too far from ’60s-inspired go-go and spy music, but that’s just the way they like it, thank you very much. The Madeira bring you surf music born of screaming wind over the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert, deafening echoes of waves pounding the Gibraltar Rock, joyous late-night gypsy dances in the small towns of Andalucia, and exotic cacophony of the Marrakesh town square. The Cocktail Preachers from Chicago have a great, classic, surf sound. Many of the songs they play are classics that most anyone would recognize. The steel guitar really adds a nice touch to their sound.
