Do414 Presents Blessed Feathers and Young Buffalo, with Ex Cops
Cactus Club - 2946 S. Wentworth Ave.
10 pm - $7
The North Coast meets South Coast meets East Coast when Milwaukee's Blessed Feathers and Oxford, MS's Young Buffalo hit Cactus Club on March 2 as part of their eastbound tour. Location isn't the only way they're the ying to each other's yang - Young Buffalo is afro-beat-influenced pop rock while Blessed Feathers are a fiance/fiancee folk duo. But one way they're not different is that they're both critically acclaimed.
Consequence of Sound said of Young Buffalo, "The Mississippi-based trio of Alex Von Hardberger, Jim Barrett, and Ben Yarbrough expertly mine so many facets of successful indie rock (the Americana harmonies of Fleet Foxes, the bombast of Arcade Fire, the clever playful ness of Vampire Weekend) and then mash them up masterfully, with a friendly dose of college rock clatter." As for Blessed Feathers, in the last six months they were named one of JS Online's "10 Wisconsin Bands to Watch," were a buzz band at CMJ, and signed with renowned booking agency Windish.
Don't miss this amazing show!
