The Oak Creek Public Library and Milwaukee’s Boswell Book Company are partnering to bring nationally acclaimed author Tim Federle to the Oak Creek Community Center on April 9th.

Federle’s new book, Better Nate Than Ever (Simon & Schuster, 2013), follows the story of eighth-grader Nate Foster, who dreams of becoming a star on Broadway. Nate decides to sneak away to New York City where he intends to crash the auditions for “ET: The Musical,” hoping to land the lead role. Along the way, he encounters challenges that are at turns hilarious, disastrous, and heartwarming. Better Nate Than Ever is called “quirky and endearing,” by Kirkus Reviews and Publisher’s Weekly gives the book a starred review and states, “…this book soars.” Before publishing his first book, Tim Federle was as a dancer in a variety of Broadway shows as well as the choreographer for the children performers in the Broadway production of Billy Elliot. He currently lives in New York City.

The event will take place on April 9th, at the Oak Creek Community Center, 8580 S. Howell Avenue. Doors open at 6:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public, and all ages are welcome. Books will be available for purchase at the event, and Mr. Federle will be signing copies.
